Here are just a small number of restoration projects we have completed.
Triumph TR6 - 1974
After years of neglect we at Woodpecker Farm Classic Car Services accepted the challenge of transforming this 1974 Triumph TR6 back to its former glory. Bought up to date with suspension and brake upgrades, subtle engine modifications and finished beautifully in Rover trophy blue.
Series IIA Land Rover - 1966
This is Woodpecker Farm's breakdown vehicle, a 1966 Series IIA Land Rover known as Bumble. Discovered whilst on holiday in the Lake District, she was transported home and lovingly restored three years ago. She has a new heavy duty galvanised chassis and Exmoor trim interior for comfort. The engine is standard apart from the addition of an electronic distributor. Dents have been kept for originality!
Pontiac Firebird Trans Am - 1979
This is our pride and joy, a 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans am. Purchased in a 'just drivable' condition, but soon after subject to a full bare metal re-build. After sourcing the correct Oldsmobile 403 engine we performed some modifications; porting the heads, fitting an up rated cam shaft and balancing the bottom end. The T top required a total remake due to a previous poor repair, which unfortunately had been completed using filler. The interior, with its half leather seats and reconditioned trim panels, finished in red complement the standard of the beautiful black exterior paintwork. A very eye-catching beast indeed!
